Malvina Palloj

Malvina Palloj is the Founder of Palloj Law Group. She provides legal counsel across complex commercial litigation, business torts, breach of contract, fiduciary duty disputes, real estate contract disputes, employment matters, quiet title actions, arbitration, mediation, family law, and appellate advocacy in the First and Second Departments of the New York Appellate Division as well as in federal district courts.

Notable matters

Recent work includes vacating arbitration awards, defending businesses and employers in complex commercial litigation, securing favorable settlements involving breach of contract, Fair Labor Standards Act and New York labor law claims, defending class actions, and pursuing legal malpractice. She also represents clients in vaccine injury claims before the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and advises on real estate transactions and appeals in state and federal courts.

Voting rights

Malvina has represented minority plaintiffs challenging at-large election systems that violate Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. In 2023 she played a key role in a case against Lewisville Independent School District that resulted in a new election system including single-member districts. She also contributes to legal scholarship, including an article on voting rights for Law360.

Background

A first-generation, low-income immigrant from Albania, Malvina overcame medical and language challenges while adapting to life in the United States. These experiences drive her commitment to advocacy and pro bono work in immigration, real estate, disability, and education rights, with a focus on equal access to justice.
